“The digestive system creates phlegm….The Lungs store phlegm..”

This make the lungs a “breathing”ground for increased risk of infections & respiratory issues!!!

Mucus is produced by the body to carry away particles and debris—think of it as a pollution disposal substance for your body. The process of producing mucus to carry away these pollutants is one of the body’s most important ways to protect the lungs.

Phlegm in the Lungs is a pattern where thick, sticky fluids accumulate in the chest and airways, producing a cough with sputum, chest congestion, and a feeling of fullness in the chest. It usually arises because the Spleen (the digestive organ responsible for fluid processing) has become sluggish, allowing excess moisture to collect and rise into the Lungs.

There are many different lung patterns depending on other factors in the body.

The Spleen/ digestive system prefers gently cooked wholesome warm foods .. Soups and warm teas ..

Be careful if the Healthy trends ie “ice” drinks , large containers of cold water & high protein snacks with excess sugar….a great way of exacerbating Lung conditions 😟

Keep it simple! 💯

TCM is an effective approach to treating any imbalances including lung issues.
